Wayne R. Wiley was born in Norton, Kansas , September 6, 1921, the only child of Ethel (Antrobus) and Paul Wiley. He moved to Colorado with his parents at the age of five. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1942. He served in both the Pacific and the European Wars.
On September 18, 1949, he married Mildred Renzelman and they lived near Laird, Colorado until December 1995 when they moved to Wray. He was a farmer and a rancher all his life. He was a Life Member of the American Legion and the Blinded Veteran Association.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Wiley of 63 years, daughter, Paula (Shannon) Bueltell, grandson, Garrett Bueltell and a host of other family members and friends.
Graveside services and Interment was held on Monday, February 04, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, Colorado with Rev. Norman Stott officiating. Memorials may be given to the Johnny Hines American Legion Post #30, 119 East 3rd Street, Wray, Colorado 80758. Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
