Wanda Mae (Jewell) Williams

Wanda Mae Williams was born to Frank and Lillian (Ferguson) Jewell on May 15, 1931 in Yuma, Colorado. Wanda grew up south of Yuma with older siblings, Beulah (McCall), Delbert, Tiny (Worley), Jim and Jackie Golgart. Wanda loved raising her children, Dixie, H.L. and Sam north of Eckley, (even H.L. and Sam)!!! Her other love was her mail route and all her great customers. Wanda was an outdoor lady with chickens, cats, dogs and a garden. Beloved mom, grandma and friend passed away February 9, 2021.

Wanda is survived by her dog, Bear; her children, Dixie Chartier & husband, (Jeff); H.L. Williams and fiance',(Vanessa); and Sam Williams & wife, Willie; sister, Jackie Golgart; grandchildren, Jesi Holmes (Cody); Brooke Wassemiller (Levi); Sara Chacon (Brian); Jodi Saxton (Reece); Katelyn Williams; John Lewis Williams (fiance', Dani); and Shawnee Shell (Tyler) and great-grandchildren, Devonte, Traevon, Lexi, Trinitee, Rayvonn, Kaisley, Maxton, Daniel, Lydia, Gracie, Carter, Colt, and Kenley and numerous relatives.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, 10:00 a.m. in the Eckley Cemetery in Eckley, Colorado. Memorials may be made to the Eckley Fire Department. Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
