Violet Rosa Brown

Violet Rosa Weber Brown was born on Saturday, March 5, 1932 and departed this life on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the age of 92.

Violet’s parents were Christopher and Avis Weber; she had three brothers and two sisters: Wesley, LeRoy, Carl, Geneva and Garnet.

Violet learned to work hard, make do with what she had, look out for and care for others at a very early age which she continued to do throughout her earthly sojourn. Also, at an early age she realized her need to surrender her life to Jesus: the author and finisher of faith and the only way to gain access to ALL that God has for her! She made living for Jesus and being an example of his love and character the priority of her life. She’d be the first to tell you she didn’t always represent God correctly but because of the privilege of repentance and His forgiveness she could go forward and keep learning to better represent him.

She met the love of her life, Keith E. Brown and they were married on July 24, 1948 and they made their home in Beecher Island, CO where they raised their family and lived for most of their life. To their union were born six children with their first child: Thelma Irene being stillborn; then Richard Wayne who resides in Laird, CO with his wife Vicki; Donna Marie who resides in Mission, TX with her husband Ray; Darrel Keith who resides in Riesel, TX with his wife Sally; Diana Lin who resides in Wray, CO with her husband LeeRoy and Danny Lee who resides in Yuma, CO with his wife Kendra.

Richard & Vicki have three children, Tina, her husband Jeffrey, their children Kelsey and her husband Craig, Travis and his wife Hunter. Tadley, his wife Danielle, their children Tegan and Garin. Tyson with Briar and her children: Aidan, Avery, Adeline, and Ashlyn.

Donna & Ray have three daughters: Radonna, Robin and Roxanne & her husband Marcus, their children Curtis, Kaylee, Kianna, Caedmon & Keziah.

Darrel & Sally have three children: Jennifer and her children: Shawn & his family, Kenneth & his family and Nicole. Jennifer’s sons & their wives blessed mom with her only great-great grandchildren. Joni & her husband Bruce and their children: Bruce Jr., Christopher & Emery. Jerrod and his wife Erica and their children J.J. & Cheyenne.

Diana & LeeRoy have one daughter: Amanda and her husband Jeffery and their daughters Emory & Abygail.

Danny & Kendra have two sons: Devien and his children Kayden & Riverton; Keithen & Katrina and their daughter Kierina and baby-to-be. Danny has an older daughter Sheridan and her husband is Bryan.

Next to God, Violet’s family was most important and special to her. She would give and give and give even when she had less than we had. We didn’t have to wonder if she loved us because it was very obvious if you were willing to see it.

Violet would tell you if she could, like she told me so many, many times that she was so very blessed by God and had no reason to complain.

I know her love for her God, family, church and friends will continue to be experienced for years to come by ALL of us.

Momma, YOU will definitely be missed and loved always!!

Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church on August 3, 2024 at 10:00am with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery in Wray Colorado.
