Velma M. Mcarthur

Velma M. McArthur ( nee Smelker) age 97 passed away on February 11,2024 at Imperial Manor Nursing home in Imperial Nebraska.

Velma married John McArthur senior on October 9,1943. Three sons born to them were John Jr, Terry Lee and Lonny Dale. Three daughters born to them were Leila Joy, Meryl Marie and Linda Lou. The family lived in the Bethune and Burlington areas for several years before moving to the Laird area in 1956.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband John Sr., son John Jr. and daughter Leila Joy. Survivors include daughters Meryl Marie, and Linda Lou; two sons Terry Lee and Lonny Dale; many Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren and Great Great Children.
