Robert "Rob" C. Starks

Robert Conway Starks, 38 born in Swedish Medical Center on October 3, 1978 in Denver, Colorado to Jill C. Marvin and Richard D. Starks. He left this earth to join his grandfather, Jerry Starks on May 6, 2017.

Robert worked in the oil field for the majority of his young life. He always loved working with his hands. He was very quick witted and always had a joke or quip available to him, keeping all of those within earshot laughing hysterically.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia K. Marvin and his grandfather, Jerry V. Starks.

Robert Starks was united in marriage to Cristina Perez on July 28, 2008 and he was a devoted father to Joseph, Genesis, Carly, Samantha and Jerry.

Robert is survived by his wife, Cristina Perez, his mother, Jill Marvin, father and step-mother, Richard and Leslie Starks, grandmother, Linda Starks, grandfather, James Marvin, brothers, Richard Starks, Zane Starks and wife, Amanda; Zachary Starks & wife, Melissa, sister, Cassandra and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Haigler, Nebraska with Pastor Chris Farmer officiating. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home in Wray, Colorado. Cremation will follow services and a private inurnment will take place at a later date in the Haigler Cemetery in Haigler, Nebraska. Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
