Robert Edgar Bryant

Robert Edgar Bryant was born September 9, 1926 to Edgar George and Clara (Soper) Bryant in Wray, Colorado. He departed from life, May 27, 2017 at the Yuma Life Care Center in Yuma, Colorado.

Robert attended school at the Vernon School. He married Ila Zion on June 9, 1945 and to this union was born two children, Annis and Darrel. During his entire life, he raised cattle and farmed in Vernon, Colorado. He drove a school bus for 30 years and enjoyed the kids. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wray, Colorado for 50+ years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar & Clara, his wife, Ila, daughter, Annis Bryant, daughter-in-law, Patty Bryant, and numerous brothers & sisters-in-law.

He is survived by his son, Darrel, granddaughter, Lisa & Walter; grandson, Sam Bryant; and great- grandchildren, Alexis Ann, Ava Viola, and Val; sisters-in-law, Katherine Zion of Wray, Beverly Zion of Cortez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service was held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ben Wentworth officiating. Interment was held in the Glendale Cemetery in Vernon, Colorado. Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
