Pauline Ellen (Brown) Guinn

Pauline Ellen (Brown) Guinn, 88, of Wray passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018 at her home. She was born March 23, 1930 in Vernon Co, the youngest of 9 children born to Orba and Ruth Brown. Pauline grew up in Beecher Island and married Maurice "Punk" Guinn at the Methodist Church in St. Francis, Ks on March 23, 1947. The couple later settled in Wray where they bought a home and had 8 children. She worked at various nursing homes in Wray throughout her working career and eventually retired in the mid 1980's to become a fulltime homemaker. Pauline loved spending time with her family and was the favorite among her many grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and baking and was the "go to" for all things in the kitchen, as the kids and grandkids started to venture out on their own. Pauline was a patient, gentle woman with a sweet smile and loving disposition who will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Pauline is survived by her Children, Larry Guinn of Ridgecrest Ca, Gary Guinn of Pansey Al, Laura Riley of La Salle Co, Raymond Guinn (Nancy) of Yuma Co, Bruce Guinn of Phillipsburg Ks, Ruth Ann Brenner of Denver Co,and Lisa Hopkin (Rusty) of Pratt Ks, Grandchildren Richard Guinn, Deanna Maker, Michael Guinn, Michelle Guinn, Larry Guinn Jr, Christopher Guinn, Tiffany Velasco, Sherri Guinn, Tami Guinn, Ulysses Riley Jr, Angela Villamil, Wade Riley, Daphne Guinn, Jennifer Milenski, Katie Guinn, Luke Guinn, Lacey Horton, Landon Brenner, Reece Hopkin and Rexana Prater, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice “Punk” Guinn, brother's Charles Brown, Lloyd Brown, Keith Brown, Wilbur Brown, Willard Brown and Minor Brown, Sister's Rosa Bray and Opal Ruth, a son Terry Guinn, grandson's Brandon Guinn, Scott Guinn, Logan Guinn, Terry Guinn, granddaughter Amy Riley and great grandson Chance Flot.

A celebration of life will be held at Beecher Island Saturday June 2, 2018 beginning at 10am.

Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
