Nathan Anthony Ekberg

July 21, 1968 — January 7, 2022

Nathan Anthony Ekberg passed away in his home on January 7, 2022, where he went home to be with his Savior.  Nathan was born on July 21 st , 1968, in Fort Collins, Colorado.  He was raised by George and Kay Ekberg where he learned the importance of hard work and an undying love for family.  Though he grew up in Alaska and Vancouver, Washington, he came to Fort Collins, Colorado to attend Colorado State University in August 1986 and graduated in December 1990.  He found his first home and started his family in Fort Collins, Colorado later moving to Aurora, Colorado in 1994 after the birth of his third child.

Nathan went on to work multiple jobs where his love for other people and his passion for teaching and sharing knowledge took off.  He took multiple teaching jobs across the state of Colorado in Briggsdale and Aurora and eventually moved on to work at United Airlines at Denver International Airport.  Even though he worked at United Airlines the longest, he always returned to tutor or help teach high school aged students.  Nathan had fire and passion for many things in life including education, line dancing, laughter, traveling to see family and friends, and staying in touch with those that he loved and cared for.  His quick wit and sense of humor brightened the lives that he touched.

Nathan was a father of five children: Elizabeth (Mickie) of Louisville, Kentucky, John (Katie) of Brighton, Colorado, Ben (Cailey) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mark of Aurora, Colorado, and Esther of San Diego, California.  His children were his proudest accomplishments and he cared for each of them dearly.  Nathan is survived by his 5 children, his ex-wife Nancy Rhodes, his ex-wife Vicki Bryant, his brother Tim and his sister Valerie as well as his 2 grandchildren.  His passion for life and laughter will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
