Morgan T. Spencer

Morgan Taylor Spencer 33, peacefully passed away October 6, 2024 in Rio Rancho, NM surrounded by her family.

Born January 14, 1991 in Wray Colorado to Kenneth and Linda (Morgan) Spencer.  Morgan was welcomed home in Eckley, CO by her siblings Melinda and Kyle and extended family.

Morgan attended Yuma Schools, graduating in 2009.  She went on to play scholarship basketball in college before returning to Colorado to begin her adult life.  Morgan made a career in Purchasing and Supply Chain logistics, first in manufacturing and later in healthcare.

Morgan’s short life was filled with many activities and hobbies.  From coaching girls sports in Yuma to woodworking.  Morgan’s big heart and caring personality always shone bright.  She was a volunteer in many capacities, always willing to help.

Morgan is survived by her parents Kenny and Linda (Morgan) Spencer, Melinda Jones and Joe Hagemeier, Kyle Spencer and David Pilger, Partner Jacqueline Thomas and son Damari Thomas.  Grandparents Helen and Kenny Henry, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Morgan was preceded in death by her Grandparents Howard and Rosalie (Armagost) Morgan, Aunts Lynette Morgan and Crystal Lee Morgan and Uncle John Spencer.

Services will be held October 18, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Eckley Community Center in Eckley Colorado, with internment following at the Eckley Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to Morgan Spencer Memorial at any Equitable Savings and Loan locations.  The Morgan Spencer Memorial will go on to support girls sports locally.
