Mildred Jane (Wright) Balding

Mildred Jane Wright Balding was born in Wayne County, Illinois on October 3, 1927. She died in Wray, Colorado, on May 8, 2023 .

Mildred was raised primarily by her mother, Jennie Stinson Wright. She had three brothers and two sisters, all older and all predeceasing her.

She was married to Edgar Balding, of Albion, Illinois, on July 7, 1945. They had been married for 67 years when he died on November 11, 2012. They were parents to Sara Balding, deceased, Alice Zmijewski (Tony) of Aurora, CO, Tom Balding (Mary) of Yuma, CO, Sue Milton of Arvada, CO and Myra Smith of Saint Joseph, MO. She was grandmother to eight, great grandmother to 23 and great, great grandmother to eight, with the ninth one due in June.

Together with her husband, she visited all 50 US states. She provided day care in her home for numerous children for many years.

Graveside services will be held later this month at the Arvada Cemetery, Arvada, CO.
