Mary Katherine Cobb was born on January 10th, 1976 in Langdon, North Dakota. She was the youngest of two daughters to Lee C. Zion and Linda D. (Wakefield) Zion. Mary passed away suddenly on November 27th, 2014 in Boulder, Colorado.
Growing up Mary got to travel the United States and Europe as her father Lee was In the United States Army. Some of the places she has lived were Ft. Huachuca Arizona, Augusta, Georgia, and Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey along with also living for 9 1/2 years in West Germany.

Though she never got to really set roots anywhere for a very long period of time, all the traveling made her a person that always could make friends at a drop of a hat. After her father retired from the military in 1995, Mary followed her family back to their roots in the Vernon and Wray Communities.

While Mary was working in the deli at the grocery store making pizzas, she was introduced to Jeffrey Ryan Gelvin. The two started dating and eventually married on April 27th, 2002.To this marriage Mary and Jeff had two daughters. Hannah Emily born February 20, 2003. And couple of years later on April 26th, 2005, Jenna Michelle joined the family. Even though the marriage didn't last,Mary and Jeff still remained close friends.

Mary eventually dated and married Trent Cobb on April 2nd, 2010.To this marriage two more girls were born. Molly Grace on April 1st, 2011. And then Ella Lee Quinn on October 4th, 2012.

Mary finally found her calling when she started working at  Hillcrest Care Center and the Towers as a CNA and was on the ambulance squad as an EMT. This ultimately led Mary to get her Registered Nursing degree from Fort Morgan Community College. She became a nurse at Wray Community Hospital where she was working up until the time of her death. She touched many people's lives with her caring and warm heart. Her number one priority was taking care of her patients.

Mary biggest joy in life was being a mom. She would make it a point to spend as much time as possible with her girls, anytime someone would ask her about her girls; her whole face would come to life.

Mary is preceded in death by her father Lee, Grandparents Elbert and Lujean Zion,Grandparents O.D. and Lela Wakefield.

She is survived by her daughters; Hannah, Jenna, Molly, Ella. mother; LindaZion. Sister, Michelle Davis and her husband; Dennis,Trent Cobb and his family, Jeff Gelvin and his family, also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial services was held at the Wray United Methodist Church in Wray, Colorado with Rev. Norman Stott officiating on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation was requested. A Private Family Inurnment will be held at a later date. Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
