Funeral arrangements are being handled by Spellman Schmidt Funeral Home and will be held on Friday December 13, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Yuma, officiated by Pastor John Martin and Pastor Rex Bell.  A private inurnment will be in the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Plains, P.O. Box 365, Wray, CO, will be appreciated. Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home in Wray, Colorado is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie Belleau passed away on December 7, 2013, at the Hillcrest Care Center (The Towers) assisted living area in Wray, Colorado, at the age of 90.

She was born Marjorie Maxene Edwards on September 9, 1923, in Benkelman, Nebraska, the second daughter of Walter Cummins (Doc) Edwards and Bessie (Blecha) Edwards.

Marjorie lived her childhood in Benkelman and graduated from Benkelman High School in the class of 1941.  She then went on to be a teacher in the Benkelman area and taught school for four years.

She married Wayne O. Ham and to that union four children were born – James W., Dennis E., Bette E., and Ronald L.  After the family was grown, Marjorie married Paul Belleau and moved to Greeley, Colorado.  She worked for 10 years at the nursing home in Greeley and retired in 1985.  Years later, she moved to Yuma, Colorado, where she resided for 15 years until moving to the assisted living area of the Towers in Wray in 2013.

Marjorie was preceded in death by husbands Wayne Ham in 1986 and Paul Belleau in 2007, sisters Donna Trout and Ruby Trout, and brother Jack Edwards.  She is survived by children James Ham of Greeley, Dennis Ham and wife Margaret of Shawnee, Kansas, Bette Cline of Benkelman, and Ronald Ham of Benkelman, and stepsons James Belleau of Loveland, Colorado, and David Belleau of Trenton, Nebraska.  She is survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Marjorie made lifelong friends wherever she lived.  She enjoyed the company of other people and liked to play cards, bingo, and other activities.  She also enjoyed the breakfast and lunch get togethers with her friends.
