Marilyn M. Smith (Anderson)-Dec. 1, 1937 --- May 28, 2015

After fighting a gallant fight with pancreatic cancer, Marilyn went to be with our Lord. In mourning, Marilyn Marie Smith's death, we celebrate her extraordinary LIFE.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her son - Scott Robert Smith, mother, Bernice, father, Laverne, brothers, Conrad, and Lemoyne.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, 23 days short of 57 years of marriage to Robert C. Smith, son, Shaun Arie Smith, his wife, Lisa; and granddaughter, Naomi, of Durango, CO; daughter, Marti Michelle Crouse, her husband, Kent, and grandson, Christopher of Greeley, CO.

Also Debbie K. Rehfeld, of Aurora, CO. and brother, Byron K. Anderson of Holdrege, NE. Countless Other Family, and Many Wonderful Friends.....

She was a Fanatic Amateur Wrestling Fan, She was very animated at a wrestling match where people that sat by her soon learned that they may be scooted off the bleachers, She was the greatest FAN of all time. She was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Colorado Chapter in 2004.

She was also an Avid Woman's Golfer, winning many ladies club championships at the Mad Russian Golf Course in Milliken, also with the Fort Hays Ladies Golf Assn., and the Wray Ladies Golf Assn. She also had a love of puzzles, assorted board games (Wahoo) and for winning the nickels in weekly bridge games during the off season.
Everyone looked forward to enjoying one of her many delectable meals for which she was known. She had over 300 cook books and read them like a novel. We also need to say a little about all the canning, freezing, and jellies she did every year. She also enjoyed the PT Cruiser Club of Colorado, and "Crusin the Rockies"! She even had her own little RED PT.

She was known for her generous heart, Selfless Service and Dedication to Her Family and Friends, and her Motto was Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. Everyone was equal in her eyes!

Marilyn will continue to live in our hearts as a courageous and generous woman, as well as, a dedicated Wife, Mother, and Friend.

Marilyn M. Smith,77 was born December 1, 1937 in Holdrege, Nebraska and passed away May 28, 2015 in Greeley, Colorado.

A Receiving of Family and Friends will be held at the Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home, 427 Adams Street in Wray, Colorado on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at the Wray United Methodist Church on 500 Blake St. Wray, CO 80758 on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Norman Stott.

A Memorial Service will be held in Greeley, CO at Our Saviors Lutheran Church at 1800 21st. Ave. Greeley, CO 80631 on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
