Margaret Elizabeth (Graham) Osmus

December 23, 1916 — September 25, 2015

Margaret Elizabeth Osmus was born December 23, 1916 to Joseph Harvey and Norma Aline (Hedrick) Graham in McMinnville, Oregon. She was the second born that day following her twin sister Marjorie into the world at a time when twins were just a little more difficult than today. Margaret died on September 25, 2015 in Glenpool, Oklahoma at the age of 98.

Margaret and her family moved to Wray in 1922 where she lived until health concerns moved her to Oklahoma where her daughter Margie Kay and family could care for her.

Margaret attended public school in Wray and being an identical twin made life interesting for the teachers. The story is told that each of the twins had an educational strength and when things got tough they just switched classes for testing.

Margaret married Phil Price and from that union they were blessed with 4 children: Carol, Margie Kay, Butch, and Bill.

On July 13, 1966 Margaret married Martin Osmus and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage together.

Margaret worked for the Wray hospital in her early working career and also worked many years in the court house as a clerk of the district court.

In her years of retirement she could be found almost daily sitting side by side with her twin sister along Main Street - just watching people pass by. Her life seems to be completely connected to her twin sister. They would shop separately and buy the same outfit. They would, without plan, replace their toothbrushes at the same time and buy the same color. They would regularly show up at each other's house with matching shoes, blouses, or outfits. They were twins first and wives second, even coloring their hair blonde, much to the disagreement of both their husbands.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws and her husband, Martin. Margaret outlived 3 of her own children, Carol, Butch, and Bill; a pain known and understood only by experience. Margaret mourned the loss of her sister Alice Roberta (Bobbie) Siebel and shared the loss of her sister's husbands Cleon Boyes and Phillip Siebel. Margaret was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brent Price.

Margaret was survived by her daughter Margie Kay Fix until January of this year.

Margaret is survived by her twin Marjorie Katherine Boyes, who celebrated her 100th birthday last December in Arizona.

She is also survived by son-in laws Jim Rogers and David Fix and daughter-in-laws Jeannie Price and Lynn Price.

Margaret is survived many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a number of great-great grandchildren, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
