Leslie Ruth Allison

On August 03, 1974 Leslie Ruth Cappels was born to Eileen Gayle Martin Cappels and Richard Dwight Cappels. The Cappels family lived in Sunnyvale, California where they resided happily for years to come. When Leslie was two-years-old, her younger brother Richard Dwight Cappels II entered the world. Leslie spent her childhood in California participating in dance and other extracurricular activities. She continued her love for dance throughout her teen years. When she was sixteen, Leslie completed her high school diploma and continued working at Long’s Drug Store while simultaneously taking college courses. In the mid-90s Leslie made her way to the Phoenix area where she met the love of her life, Jeremy Shea Allison and his daughter Darrien Lane Allison (March 14, 1995). The couple soon welcomed a second daughter, Hailey Ruth Allison, on August 09, 1998. Jeremy and Leslie were married on November 20, 1998. Shortly after, on August 24, 1999, the family welcomed their third, and final, daughter, Chloe Jaye Allison. The Allisons built their life in Mesa, AZ surrounded by friends and family. On June 20, 2008, Leslie and Jeremy moved the family 1,000 miles away to Flagler, CO. Leslie’s days were filled with volleyball games, basketball tournaments, swim meets, and any other activities the girls were involved in. One by one, the girls moved away and Leslie relocated to Arriba, CO while Jeremy continued working in various parts of the country. In November of 2018, Hailey returned home to live with her mother. On June 02, 2019, the mother-daughter duo relocated, once again, to Wray, CO. Shortly after moving to Wray, the family prepared for the birth of the first grandchild. Leslie left this world on December 11, 2019.

Leslie was known for being a caring mother-figure to everyone who entered her home. She was quick to share her knowledge with anybody who would listen, especially when it came to grammar. She was always her daughters’ biggest supporter, whether they be right or wrong. Leslie always had a witty comment that was sure to make you laugh.

Leslie Allison was cremated in Wray, CO and her ashes are possessed by her daughters and husband. A releasing of the ashes will be determined at a later date.

Leslie was preceded in death by both maternal grandparents, both paternal grandparents, as well as all great-grandparents. She is survived by husband, Jeremy Shea Allison; daughter, Darrien Lane Allison; daughter, Hailey Ruth Allison; daughter, Chloe Jaye Allison; mother, Eileen Gayle Martin Cappels; father, Dick Dwight Cappels; brother, Richard Dwight Cappels II; granddaughter, Abigail Ruth Huerta; and dog, Killer Ruth Allison.
