Lawrence "Larry" Andrew Rosch

September 19, 1933 — June 30, 2020

Lawrence Andrew Rosch, 86 died on June 30, 2020 in his home. He was born on September 19, 1933 in Rochester, Minnesota to Bertha and Andrew Rosch. He married the love of his life Kay on December 16, 1983 in their home.

Larry joined the Navy on June 5, 1951 and was discharged from the Navy on July 13, 1954. After the Navy he moved to Zumbro Falls, MN and began his career in the fertilizer business, which he pursued for the next 40 years. His love for growing things showed in the two gardens that he and his wife kept. After retirement, he worked for local farmers during harvest season. He completed his career cooking burgers at Ranchland and Schaffner’s Auction Barn. He was fondly known by his wife as the “Burger King of Wray Colorado”. He was a trustee at the Calvary Lutheran Church for 15 years. He was also a life time member of the VFW, American Legion and Color Guard.

Larry’s passion in life was restoring old tractors with his friends “The Tractor Guys”. He was the proud owner of three Farmall Tractors an F-30, M and a Cub as well as a Case Thrashing machine. He was also a member of the Olde Tyme Saturday Committee for 25 years. He was the head thresher during the Olde Tyme Saturday event. This was a family affair he enjoyed attending with his wife and family. Through the 25 years of attending Vernon Days, we added a manure spreader that we would use as a float and ride through multiple parades as a family. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to play cards with his family and enjoyed all the good family times.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Andrew, his in-law’s, Roland and Myrtle, his brother, Don, his sister, Dorothy and his son, Tom Rosch. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kay, his daughter’s, Cindy (Loren) Millar of Wray, Colorado; Mary Lynn (Keith) Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama; his son, Billy (Julia) Lamb of Spokane, Washington; his grandchildren, Cody, Calie, and Colin Millar; Brandy Lamb; Logan and Kasey Thompson; Jennifer, Jaime and Janelle Rosch; as well as eight great grandchildren and four brother-in-laws.
