Lael D. (Ward) Deterding

LAEL DIANE DETERDING was born March 2, 1933 to Bill and Vivian Ward in Wray. She passed away June 16, 2016 in Wray at age 83.
Lael married the love of her life, Alva Deterding September 12, 1954. They were married for over 61 years. To this union two sons were born. Brent in 1957 and Brad in 1960.
Lael spent her life caring and giving to others in the family and community. Always putting others needs before her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Vivian Ward.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alva, son, Brent Deterding and wife, Pam; son, Brad Deterding and Dianna Wilson; granddaughter, Kim (Deterding) Bolognia and husband, Joe; granddaughter, Cori Deterding; granddaughter, Dawn (Deterding) Webster and husband, Nick; grandson, Ryan Deterding and Karen Franco; granddaughter, Calli Deterding; great-grandsons, Kaden Webster and Ben Bolognia and great-granddaughter, Kennedy Webster.
A Private Family Funeral Service and Interment was held June 22.
Memorials may be made to Wray Rehabilitation & Activities Center or the Vernon Community Center, c/o Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home, 427 Adams Street, Wray, CO 80758.
