Jodi Rae (Barker) Archer

Jodi Rae Archer went to heaven on April 23. 2013.

She was born on August  12, 1972 in Wray, Colorado to Freddie and Sharlene Barker.

Jodi attended school in Wray, Colorado and then attended Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado where she received an Associate of Applied Science Degree Office Occupation/Administrative Support in 1992. After living in Greeley several years she returned to Wray to farm with her father.

She met John Lee Archer and married on October 17, 2000.  They had two children together Jacy Jo and Jalyn Rae.  Her two girls were her precious gifts.  Also, two step-children Josh and Jori Archer.  Jodi also felt that Celena and Morgan Deschamps were her own daughters.  They were always very close to her heart.

Jodi enjoyed farming and ranching with her father, cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, and spending time with her girls and her family.  Family was an important part of her life.

Jodi is survived by her husband John Archer, children Jacy & Jalyn. Stepchildren Josh & Jori Archer. Parents Freddie and Sharlene Barker. Grandmother Willa Mae Mekelburg of Yuma. Sister Debie Gelvin and husband Kyle of Greeley, Sister Wendy Keeler & husband Curt ofWray. Five nieces: Celena & Morgan Deschamps, Brieahna & Brooke Keeler and Paige Gelvin. One nephew Brayden Gelvin. Many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by Grandpa Earl Mekelburg, Grandparents George & Wilma Barker and Uncle Joe Barker.

Funeral services for Jodi Rae Archer was held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wray United Methodist Church in Wray, Colorado with Rev. Steve Wynkoop and Rev. Norman Stott officiating. Interment was in the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, Colorado. Memorials may be made to the Jodi Rae Archer for Chemo and Hospice Memorial Fund, c/o Wray State Bank in Wray, Colorado. Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home in Wray, Colorado is in charge of arrangements.
