Jean Lucille Haist, born on September 5, 1945, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, spent her early years in Englewood, Colorado. She was the daughter of Virginia Jean Haist and Donald Morgan. Jean was a loving mother to her three children, Jane (Perry), James Junior, and Jonathan Hill, whom she had with her first husband, James Hill. After parting ways with James, Jean found love again with her late husband, Gary Erickson. Together, they embraced a serene 'Country Life' on a quaint farm in Laird, Colorado.
Jean's love for animals was boundless, and she cared for a variety of creatures, including chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, tropical birds, dogs, and cats. Her admiration for nature extended to every living creature, and she maintained a deep respect for all of God's creations. Jean found joy in camping, attending garage sales and auctions, and indulging in crafts, always seeing beauty and potential where others saw none.
Jean's kindness and loving spirit touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Services will be disclosed at a later date.
Inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Larid, Colorado.
