Ivan Earl

February 18, 1943 — November 21, 2024

Wray

For this one farmer the worries are over.    You raised your family, worked the land well, the pigs and cattle are fed and bedded down for the night.  So, put the tractor in the shed, hang up the fishing pole, your work here on earth is done.

(Ivy) Ivan Nelson Earl departed this life at his home west of Wray on November 21st, 2024, at the age of 81.  He was born to Raymond Earl and Opal Twiss on February 18th, 1943, in Holyoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ida (Larry) Oestman, sisters-in-law Leila Garrett of Tennessee, Marlis Stuteville of Wray and brothers-in-law Red Stuteville of Wray and Irvin Gorman of Wray and nephew Kevin Sam Earl of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

In the year 1962, May 26th, he married Donna Stuteville and from this union were born four children, Pamela, Patricia, Julia and Evan.  They farmed and ranched north of Wray.  One of many treasured memories is of chopping silage.  If you were slow getting back to the field, Ivy would point the spout of the chopper right at your window and give you a cab full.  Of course, no air conditioner in the trucks so windows were always down.

In later years, they spent their winters in Buchanan Dam, Texas, enjoying fishing, relaxing and visiting with new friends.

Ivan leaves behind his wife Donna and four children, Pam (Wes) Kiser of Vernon and their children Jonathon Kiser of Vernon and daughters Emma, Ivy Rae, (of Minnesota), Railynn and Kristin; Matthew (Heather) Kiser of Eckley and their children Logan and Oakley; Kenneth (Kayla) Kiser of Vernon and their children Kia, Wesley Dean and Wyatt; Pat (Loren) Hendrix of Holyoke and their daughter Taylor and fiancé (Ryan) Klintworth of Curtis, Nebraska; Julia (Darrell) Boren of Beebe, Arkansas and son Colton Boren of Sterling, Colorado; Evan of Wray and his daughters Jesirae (Stefan) Peterson of Maxwell, Nebraska, their children Easton, Adrian and Peyton; Maggie (Shane) Clow of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and their son Peter; sister Karen Gorman of Wray and brother Bob (Carol) Earl of Mountain Home, Arkansas.  His sisters-in-law, Lonna Casaliggi of Bronx, New York, and Lynette (Jack) Sparks of Hotchkiss, Colorado.  His in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will always carry his memories in their hearts.

Celebration of life for Ivan Earl will be December 9th Monday 2024 at 10:00 at the First Christian Church in Wray Colo.
