Gary Workman was born in Goodrich, Michigan, on July 7, 1949, to Elmer and Geneva (Pridemore) Workman. He passed away September 9, 2022.
He grew up in Lake Orion, Michigan, and graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1967. On a trip to visit friends in Colorado he fell in love with the state and moved here shortly after. He worked for General Electric in Denver at one of their Apparatus Service Shops for forty years, retiring in 2013. He met Connie Crider, and they were married in 1978. They were excited to welcome twins in 1983. They lived in Thornton, Colorado, until moving to Wray, Connie’s hometown, in 2015.
Gary loved following the Broncos, Rockies, and Avalanche, win or lose. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, camp, boat, and go ATVing. He had a great love of music and was always sharing new “finds” with his friends.
Gary is survived by his wife, Connie, daughter Jacque (Javan) Jones, and son Josh Workman, his mother-in-law Elaine Crider, his sisters Janet (Walt) Perry of Kissimmee, FL, Jean (Roy) Rouse of Rochester Hills, MI, Bonnie (Chris) Callas of Clarkston, MI, brother Jerry (Heidi) of Spring Valley, CA, his sister-in-law Jody (Chuck) Marratt of Mountlake Terrace, WA, brother-in-law Brad (Deena) Crider of Alliance, NE, grandchildren Addison, Grace, Cooper Jones and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the Wray Fire Hall on November 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
