Edward (Ed) L. Robinson (Father Of Lonna Clegg)

Edward (Ed) Leslie Robinson, 98 was born September 26, 1920 to Harry and Flossie (Wright) Robinson in Akeley, Minnesota. He passed away April 23, 2019 at Hillcrest Care Center in Wray, Colorado.

Ed married Myrtle Leona Olson on November 1, 1940 at Wiota, Wisconsin and together they raised six children, Gene Robinson and wife, Marylin of Lena, Illinois; Jerry Robinson of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; Diane Robinson of McCook, Nebraska; Betty Jordan (deceased) of McCook, Nebraska; Lonna Clegg & husband, Steve of Haigler, Nebraska; and Shorty Robinson & wife, Rachel of Browning, Montana. Ed was blessed with nine grandkids, eighteen great-grandkids; and nine great-great-grandkids.

Ed farmed and worked as a carpenter in Wisconsin, until moving his family to Livermore, Colorado to fulfill a dream of ranching. After losing his life partner, Ed worked hard to raise his youngest kids on his own later moving to Redmond, Oregon to run a ranch for Clyde Purcell leaving Oregon. Ed traveled and was always helping his kids with fencing, cutting trees, moving cattle, or whatever needed to be done. Moving to Marathon, Texas with youngest son, Shorty to help out on the ranch. Leaving Texas to return to southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas area to be close to his daughter, Lonna & husband. Settling in on his second family’s ranch (Faylor Red Angus Ranch) till his injury in May 2017, where he ended up at Hillcrest Care Center till the time of his death.

Ed was an exceptional role model to everyone in his family. He was a tremendously hard- working man. A man of integrity, empathy and had an enduring love for his family. Ed was so easy to talk with and made friends easily. A man of his word, he came to be admired and respected by a great many, especially by his children. He will truly be missed.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, two sister and one brother.

No Services and Cremation was requested.
