Dean C. Larson

Dean C. Larson, age 72 of Gill, Colorado passed away on Monday August 26, 2024 after a briefbattle with cancer.

Dean C. Larson was born May 14, 1952 in Fort Rucker, Alabama the son of the late Richardand Gloris (Erlanson) Larson. He graduated from Grafton High School and then attended North Dakota State University-Bottineau.

Dean was united in marriage to Joyce Perry on December 19,1992 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Grafton, ND. The couple made their home in Wray, Colorado and then later in Gill, Colorado.

Dean was the long-time Growers Relations Manager for Northern Feed and Bean. He also worked for Wray Feed and Bean (Wray, CO), Gormley Feed and Bean (Farmington, NM), and Red River Bean (Grafton, ND) along with assisting in operating Oak Ridge Turkey Farm (Union, ND). Dean was devoted to his family and loved to spend time with his daughter Julie and grandsons, Brian and Matthew. He also enjoyed taking care of his pets, tending to his vegetable garden (along with sharing cooking tips like always using an Anaheim pepper in your chili), and watching his favorite sports teams, including theMN Vikings, Denver Broncos, UND Fighting Sioux men’s hockey, and the Colorado Avalanche.

Dean is survived by his daughter Julie (Donnie) Jones, Wray, CO; grandsons: Brian Jones, Denver, CO and Matthew Jones, Denver, CO; siblings: Larry (Tami) Larson, Milton, ND; Brad (Kathy) Larson, Grafton, ND; Tracy (Colin Hirdman) Larson, Vadnais Heights, MN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Joyce.

Inurnment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hoople, ND at a later date.
