Clarence L Goodman (Junior)

Clarence L. Goodman (Junior) was born September 12, 1925 to Clarence H. & Virginia (Walkup) Goodman in Wray, Colorado.

He attended Wray Schools before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1944 during World War II. He served as Signal Man on the USS Fond-du-lac in the Pacific until 1946.

Junior married Evelyn Jones on July 25, 1943. They were blessed to celebrate their 70th anniversary this year. To this union were born three children Denny, Judy and Steve.

After serving in the Navy, Junior and Evelyn made their home near Clarksville, Colorado where they farmed before moving to the Wray area. In addition to farming, Junior was an over the road driver for Montgomery Ward for 22 years. After his career with Montgomery Ward, he and Evelyn established Riverside Realty, which they operated until their retirement.

He was a life time member of the Wray United Methodist Church. He also had long time memberships with the Wray Masonic Lodge , Elks Lodge and VFW.

He is survived by his Wife Evelyn, Children Denny & wife Beverly, Judy & husband Carl , Steve & wife Jo Ellen ;  Grandchildren Kami Rosin & husband Bob, Stephenie Lorimer, Lori Cantwell & husband Terry, Doug Critchfield & wife Dawn, Jayme Ostroski and husband Jerry, Michael Goodman & wife Ingrid, Gregory Goodman & wife Audrey, Brian Goodman & wife Jessica and 19 Great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 2, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the Wray United Methodist Church in Wray, Colorado with Rev. Norman Stott officiating. Interment was held in the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, Colorado. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Plains, P.O. Box 365, Wray, Colorado 80758. Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
