Cindy Mccoy

Cindy McCoy (Dresen) was born February 9, 1961 to Wid and Laura Dresen in Wray Colorado.  Welcoming her home after a week in the hospital were her siblings Sandy, Diana, and Roger.

Cindy passed away on Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 with her family at her side.

Cindy was educated in the Yuma School from 1966 to 1979.  While in High school she worked at Ma & Pa’s Drive In.  She enjoyed working with people.  A few years later she became employed at the Yuma Life Care Center.  For the last 32 years she has worked at Shop-All.  Cindy was a people person so that job fit her very well.

Cindy also loved her Monday night bowling league and spending time with her Grandkids. Cindy also enjoyed torturing her kids by loading them up in the car and driving them around for hours looking at houses.

She met and married Dennis Dilka in June 1980 and to that union two children were born, Jessie Joe and April Ann.  Dennis was killed on June 7, 1987.

Several years later she rekindled her love with her teenage sweetheart Sam McCoy and they married on April 21, 1990.  To their union one daughter was born, Samantha Lynn.

Proceeding Cindy in death were her parents and her sister Sandy.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 33years, Sam.

Her son, Jessie Dilka and wife Katie; and daughter, April Fabian and husband Jon; and daughter, Samantha Kline and husband Nick.

Cindy is also survived her grandchildren; Dennis and Rhiann Fabian, and Gracelynn and Dean Kline.

Her father and mother in-law; Chester and Betty McCoy.

Her siblings; sister, Diana Bencomo and husband Tomas; brother, Roger Dresen and wife Chris.

Her brother in-law, Mike McCoy and wife Annette; and her niece, a little sister by fate, Lori Funk and husband Billy; and a host of extended family.

Cindy was loved and will be missed by all.
