Bruce Warren Hall

Bruce Warren Hall was born in Wray, Colorado on April 3, 1941 to Francis (F.K.) and Mabel Hall. He was the youngest of three children. Bruce was called home on October 2, 2015 at the age of 74 years.
He attended Eckley schools. Bruce was the only one in a class of 12 from first grade to continue on to graduation at Eckley High School. He graduated in 1959 as President of his class. He attended McCook Community College on a basketball scholarship with a major in business.
Bruce was very athletic and was actively involved during his schooling years and later on in life in numerous sports. He always considered basketball as his favorite sport. There were numerous trophies and commendations awarded to him. Bruce supported many youth local sports activities throughout his business years.
He married his high school sweetheart, Joni Campbell on April 2, 1960 and to this union there were two daughters born, Keree DeLynn Hall and Liesa Dawnese Hall.
He was a very successful businessman. After having worked in the business of Yuma Auto Supply for three years, Bruce purchased the store in 1966. He expanded his business by purchasing the Wray Napa franchise in 2002 to now what is known as Yuma County Auto Supply, LLC. He continued as CEO until the time of his death.
Bruce is preceded in death by his wife Joni, of 22 years, father Francis, mother Mabel, brother, Byron and son-in-law, Russ Olsen.
He is survived by daughters Keree Olsen of Wray, CO and Liesa ( Everett) Johnson of Denver, CO, granddaughters Milan (Aaron) Meadows of Phoenix, AZ, Cimonne (Ben) Prebble of Denver, CO and Maren Olsen of Wray, CO, grandsons Soren (Laura) Olsen of Wray, CO, Bruce Johnson of Denver, CO and Justin Johnson of Denver, CO, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bruce had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed reminiscing about his younger days with friends and customers over a cup of coffee. His hobby was his business. His family was truly proud of his accomplishments. He will be missed by those who had the opportunity to have known him.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 9, 2015, 1:00 p.m. at the New Life Christian Center in Eckley, Colorado with Pastor Glen Kline officiating. Interment was held in the Eckley Cemetery in Eckley. Memorials may be given to the Wray Recreation Center or Yuma Recreation Center. Schmidt-Jones Funeral Home in Wray, Colorado was in charge of arrangements.
