Betty J. Danforth

Betty Danforth, a longtime resident of Wray, Colorado, passed away on May 31, 2025.

Born and raised in Wray, Betty was the daughter of Zenos and Bernice Zion. She graduated from Wray High School and began her career with Kansas Nebraska. After marrying George “Gerry” Danforth, a member of the United States Air Force, the couple lived overseas for several years before settling in Greeley, Colorado.

Betty retired from Aims Community College and enjoyed her later years surrounded by the people and passions she loved most. She liked to garden, loved animals, and traveling.  Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

She is survived by her son, Craig (Denise) Danforth, and her beloved grandchildren, Ashley and Caitlyn Danforth; and many other family members.

Betty will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and deep love for those around her.
