Bernadel Fisher was born November 24, 1925 in Wray, Co to the late Paul and Emma Gartin.  Bernadel is survived by her twin sister, Berniece Rose of N Richland Hills, TX, Shirley Ficke and husband, Robert Ficke, of Lincoln, NE, and Janice Haack and husband, Larry Haack of Denver, CO.  Her deceased siblings who are lovingly remembered; Lucille Renzelman, Pauline Pudlik and Marion Gartin.  Bernadel exemplified love, dedication, and an unwavering faith in God, as a mother to her five children; Debra Ann Stull, Sterling, Co.; Ronald Mason Chamberlain, (deceased), wife, Dixie Chamberlain, Wray, Co.; Kelly Paul Chamberlain, Wray, Co. Jody Lynn Chamberlain, (deceased), Carmen Jane Hochevar, husband, Brian Hochevar, Knoxville, Tn.  Bernadel was loved by her (9) grandchildren; Trae Stull and wife, Cia Stull, Travis Stull and wife, Marisa Stull, Brittany Hochevar,  Luke Hochevar and wife, Ashley Hochevar, Dylan Hochevar, Mason Chamberlain and wife, Corie Chamberlain, Tyler Chamberlain and wife, Kylie Chamberlain, Angela DePue and husband, James DePue, Ashley Gustafson, and husband, Eric Gustafson.  She also was proud of her (17) great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  On September 2, 1975, she married the love of her life, Theodore Jack Fisher.  They shared three wonderful years of bliss until a farm accident ended their fairy tale.  Bernadel went joyfully to be with The Lord at the Wray Community District Hospital on July 22, 2014, after a brief struggle with her health.

Bernadel started her work career with Mountain Bell Phone Company as a telephone operator in 1943 and was lastly promoted as a Service Representative at the Wray office in 1964, and   retired with 26 years of dedicated service.  Bernadel was an active member in her community as she served and held different offices with the St Andrews Catholic Church in Wray, CO. Bernadel was elected to serve on the Council of Catholic Women Archdiocese of Denver, CO. starting with Secretary for 6 years, Treasure for 28 years, Historian/Exec. Advisory Committee for 9 years till death.  She worked and volunteered at the Wray 55 and Over Center for many years along with the American Legion and Auxiliary.  One of her most humbling achievements was when received Woman of the Year in 1974. Bernadel filled her days with her hobbies of bowling, cooking, gardening, quilting, and sharing a story over a cup of coffee.

Mom, You are the Woman I dream of becoming, the Masterpiece I long to paint.  You are the Example I strive to follow.  You’re a Giver of self and a Friend to all.  A woman of Character.  I am blessed God chose you to be my mother and my children’s Grandmother.

A rosary and fellowship was held at the Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home July 27, 2014.   A funeral mass was celebrated at St Andrews Catholic Church followed by her burial at the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, CO.  A memorial in Bernadel Fisher’s name can be made to Children’s Hospital Colorado with donations accepted at First Pioneer National Bank, (PO Box 96 in Wray, CO 80758). Spellman-Schmidt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
